Leeds United are expected to now look towards alternative targets as Oxford United hold firm in their £3m asking price for Kemar Roofe.

The 23-year-old striker had an impressive last season with the League Two side where he managed a total of 25 goals in 49 appearances, having also set up 12 goals for his team-mates.

His performances helped draw the attention of a number of clubs with the Whites being willing to offer £1.5m to Oxford for Roofe.

However, Oxford United are not willing to allow the striker to leave for a fee below £3m and according to the Yorkshire Post, that is likely to prompt Leeds to look at other targets.

“To be fair, that [£3m] has always been my minimum number for Kemar", Oxford chairman Darryl Eales told the Oxford Mail earlier this week.
