Lazio are continuing to have discussions over a possible move for Newcastle United flop Florian Thauvin.

The capital club are aware that they may lose winger Antonio Candreva at some stage this summer and view Thuavin as a potential replacement.

The Serie A side recently requested information on Thauvin from Newcastle, learning his asking price and salary demands.

And according to Italian daily La Repubblica, Lazio are continuing to have discussions over potentially signing the Frenchman, who has made it clear he is unwilling to play in the Championship following Newcastle's relegation from the Premier League.

Thauvin joined Newcastle only last summer from French giants Marseille, however he was loaned back to the Stade Velodrome outfit in the winter transfer window after struggling to have an impact at St. James' Park.
