Rangers captain Lee Wallace admits that it is up to the players to get the maximum out of their ten-day pre-season camp in the United States, starting next week.

Most of the Rangers players have already headed back for pre-season preparations in Scotland, and a few of their new signings will link up with the squad at the start of next month.

Mark Warburton has already taken a few early sessions ahead of their first season back in the Premiership, and the squad will travel to the United States on Monday for a pre-season camp.

Rangers will also be playing local outfit Charleston Battery in a pre-season game on 6th July during their trip to South Carolina, and Wallace is excited about their trip across the pond.

The Rangers captain insisted that it is up to the players to get the maximum value out of their trip and get ready for the start of their Premiership campaign.

Wallace told Rangers TV: “We as players need to make sure that we maximise that when we go out there and that we use the ten days and work as hard as we can.

“It’s also important that we enjoy it, enjoy the fact that we have some new faces and enjoy that we are working hard.

“We need to come back and make sure that we are taking the steps that we ensure that we can be the best that we can be for the first game.”

Rangers will start their Premiership campaign with a home game against Hamilton Academical at Ibrox on the first day of the season.
