Marseille Goalkeeper In Advanced Discussions With Crystal Palace

France international goalkeeper Steve Mandanda is in advanced discussions with Crystal Palace.

The custodian is out of contract with Ligue 1 giants at the end of this month and is expected to move on, with the Premier League likely to be his destination.

And Selhurst Park could be his new home as, according to French sports daily L'Equipe, the goalkeeper is in advanced talks with Crystal Palace.

A switch to Palace would see Mandanda link up with countryman Yohan Cabaye and realise his long held dream of playing in the Premier League.

Other clubs are also interested in Mandanda and the goalkeeper has been linked with Everton and Villarreal.

But it is Palace who are decisively making all the running in the race to snap up the France custodian.

The 31-year-old joined Marseille from fellow French club Le Havre in 2008.

At international level Mandanda plays understudy to Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo Lloris.
