Belgium midfielder Radja Nainggolan has revealed that Chelsea and Roma are still in talks over his proposed move to west London this summer.

The 28-year-old midfielder’s future at Roma has been one of the sagas of the transfer window, with Chelsea trying to wrestle him away from the Stadio Olimpico this summer.

Roma have already rejected bids from the Blues for the midfielder and Chelsea have reportedly tabled another offer worth €35m for Nainggolan in recent days, leading to more speculation.

The Belgian admits that he is unaffected by the rumours surrounding his future, and revealed that the Blues and Roma are still locked in talks over a proposed deal.

However, he added that after all the speculation he won’t mind if he finally has to stay at Roma beyond the summer window.

He was quoted as saying by Het Nieuwsblad: “I get linked to a team every year, so we’ll see.

“Chelsea and Roma are still speaking, but I will be happy to stay at Roma.

“However, I do not what to think about it at the moment, as the European Championship is the most important thing.”

Nainggolan has a contract until 2020 with Roma, but wants a more lucrative deal from the club to stay at the Stadio Olimpico.
