Chelsea talent Kyle Scott is to have a trial with Dutch Eredivisie side Willem II as he looks to convince the club to snap him up.

The right winger is expected to feature in three friendly matches for Willem II as coach Erwin van de Looi puts him through his paces and assesses whether he would be a good addition for next term.

The Willem II boss told Voetbal International: "It is no secret that we are looking for attacking reinforcements.

"We want to see this guy at work and in the coming days he will have a chance to prove himself."

The United States youth international was linked with wanting to leave Chelsea in April after a reported row with Under-18s coach Joe Edwards.

Scott was left out of the Chelsea squad which beat Manchester City to win the FA Youth Cup and was claimed to have put in a transfer request soon afterwards.

He also turned out at Under-21 level for Chelsea last season and played his part in the Blues successfully defending the UEFA Youth League.

Scott put pen to paper on a new contract with Chelsea in February.
