Sadio Mane is to have a medical with Liverpool on Monday ahead of a £30m switch to the club from Southampton.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has been keen to snap up the former Red Bull Salzburg man and now appears close to pushing the deal over the line.




According to the Press Association, Liverpool have thrashed out a £30m fee with Southampton for Mane's services.

And the Senegal international is due to undergo a medical with the Merseyside giants on Monday as the move speeds towards completion.
 


Southampton only signed Mane in 2014 from Red Bull Salzburg after the winger had impressed during his time at the Austrian giants.

He quickly settled into the English game and earned the attention of Manchester United, though the Saints managed to keep hold of the 24-year-old.

Now Mane is set to take the next step in his career by moving to Liverpool.

Klopp's men could only finish in eighth spot in the Premier League last term and expectations are high at Anfield ahead of the German's first full season in charge.
