Championship side Bristol City have discussed paying Liverpool around £2.5m to sign talent Sergi Canos, who has not put pen to paper on a new deal at Anfield, according to the Bristol Post.

The Spaniard is yet to agree a deal with the Reds over the extension of his contract and might be on his way out of Anfield as a result this summer.

The youngster is in fact holding out for £10,000 a week deal, which is more than what the Premier League giants are ready to offer.

Lee Johnson's team are looking at the situation and may be able to tempt Canos to quit Liverpool.

It has also been claimed that the Robins have offered a fee in the region of £2.5m for the player and the deal is being discussed at present.
