Rangers midfielder Jason Holt says that he will try to learn as much as he can from the new signings made by the club this summer.

Holt, 23, made a total of 45 appearances for the Gers last season and racked up 12 goals on the way as he helped Mark Warburton's men win promotion to the Premiership.

Rangers have been busy in the summer transfer market and have acquired the signatures of multiple players, including former Manchester City and Newcastle United midfielder Joey Barton, former Tottenham star Niko Kranjcar, Jordan Rossiter and Clint Hill.

Holt, who joined from Hearts last year, has admitted that he will try to learn from the new acquisitions at Ibrox.

He told the official Rangers website: “I think it’s great that we’ve signed players like Matt Crooks and Joey Barton, for our squad I think competition is a great thing.

“I’m the same as the rest of the boys and we’re all really looking forward to it and it’s really healthy to have that competition.

“I think that the calibre of the players who have come in and with guys like Jordan who has had experience at a club like Liverpool, I’m sure that I’m going to learn a lot of things.

“I’ll take as much as I can from everyone and try to incorporate it into my own game and try to learn as much as I can from those players.”

The Glasgow based club won promotion into the Premiership after they won the Scottish Championship crown last season.

But Warburton’s men failed to win the Scottish Cup as they were ousted 3-2 by Hibernian in the final.
