Leeds United have completed the signing of striker Marcus Antonsson from Kalmar.

The Swede, who has been on fire in the Allsvenskan this season and won the Player of the Month award for May, has put pen to paper on a three-year deal at Elland Road.

Leeds have been looking to add to their attacking ranks and in Antonsson they have landed their man, with the striker himself delighted to have joined the Championship outfit.

He told the club's site: "It feels fantastic to be here. Ever since Leeds came into the picture, it seemed like the perfect choice.

"I wanted this move as soon as Leeds United contacted me", the striker continued.

"Playing in England has been a big dream of mine. I'll work very hard."

Antonsson becomes new head coach Garry Monk's first signing at Leeds, with the former Swansea City manager aiming to strengthen his squad.

Leeds finished in 13th spot in the Championship last season under Monk's predecessor Steve Evans and are aiming to push for a top six playoff spot as a minimum requirement in the new campaign.

Antonsson will now be bidding to impress Monk over pre-season.
