Leicester have finally reached an agreement with Nice for the signature of defensive midfielder Nampalys Mendy this summer, according to French sports daily L'Equipe.

The Foxes have been in talks with the French club over the last few weeks for Mendy, and the midfielder even visited the club's facilities, along with his representatives last week.

The 24-year-old midfielder has also attracted interest from West Ham, but the midfielder has been insisting on a move to the King Power Stadium over a transfer to east London.

Playing Champions League football is an attractive proposition for the Frenchman and he also wants to reunite with his former Monaco boss Claudio Ranieri at the East Midlands club.

And it seems the transfer has taken one more step towards completion, as Leicester have agreed a fee with Nice for the signature of Mendy this summer.
