Crystal Palace have reached an agreement over a fee with Marseille for Juventus and West Ham target Michy Batshuayi, according to French sports daily L’Equipe.

The 22-year-old Belgian’s future has been up for discussions for some time now, but Marseille are keen to sell the player before the end of the month to ease their crippling financial situation.

Juventus have already tabled a bid for the player, but it fell short of Marseille’s valuation of the striker and West Ham continue to chase the former Standard Liege forward.

However, Crystal Palace’s entry into the chase for the player has surprised his suitors and their €38m offer has blown away the others in the chasing pack for Batshuayi.

And it has been claimed that the Ligue 1 outfit have accepted Palace’s offer, paving the way for the club to hold talks with the player and his representatives over the next few days.

Tottenham are still in the race for the player, but are one of Batshuayi’s suitors who are yet to slap in a bid for the striker this summer.

Palace who finished 15th in the Premier League last season will be hoping to show their ambition to the rest of the division by capturing an in-demand striker like Batshuayi.
