Marseille are interested in snapping up Swansea City striker Bafetimbi Gomis during the summer transfer window, but are expected to face competition from Sunderland.

The Ligue 1 club are expected to sell striker Michy Batshuayi by the end of the month and have already accepted a bid from Crystal Palace for the Belgian forward.

With their top striker on the verge of leaving the club, Marseille are keen to find a replacement for him soon, and it has been claimed that they have already identified their target.

According to French sports daily L’Equipe, Marseille are interested in signing Swansea forward Gomis this summer and are hoping to hold talks with the Premier League club over a deal for the striker.

The former Lyon and Saint Etienne forward is also attracting interest from Sunderland, who are in the market for a striker, but he could be willing to return to France this summer.
