Miroslav Djukic has been left disappointed after missing out on the Nottingham Forest job.

The Championship side had been looking for a new boss, but have turned to Frenchman Philippe Montanier, who has taken the reins at the City Ground.

Djukic's agent had been in talks with Forest, according to Spanish daily Super Deporte, and his client was the favourite to get the nod to take over.

But having missed out, Djukic is now looking for another opportunity as he has been without work since leaving Cordoba in 2015.

The 50-year-old, who played as a sweeper in his playing days, has managed a whole host of clubs during a well travelled coaching career.
