Antonio Conte’s entourage met Michy Batshuayi’s agent earlier this week in France to turn the tide of the transfer saga towards Chelsea.

The transfer saga surrounding the Belgian forward’s future has taken a dramatic turn since last night as Chelsea are now close to securing a deal to sign him this summer.

Crystal Palace had a bid accepted by Marseille on Monday night, with West Ham and Juventus also keeping a close eye on proceedings, but Chelsea moved at a rapid pace to reach an agreement with the Ligue 1 outfit.

The Blues’ €40m bid was quickly accepted, and Batshuayi checked in at a Bordeaux facility to undergo a medical earlier today to move one step closer towards joining the west Londoners.

And it seems Conte has played a key role in convincing the player to accept Chelsea’s offer as it has been claimed that his entourage met the striker’s agent earlier this week.
