AC Milan have joined the race for Udinese midfielder Piotr Zielinski, who is already the subject of a tug of war between Liverpool and Napoli.

Zielinski shone last term in Serie A while on loan at Empoli and has built up an army of fans. The Poland midfielder is expected to be on the move this summer, but his destination is not yet clear.

Napoli have been pushing hard to sign the midfielder, but Zielinski is claimed to prefer a switch to Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool.

However, according to Sky Italia, AC Milan have now jumped into the race and are hopeful of adding him to the ranks at the San Siro in time for next season.

New AC Milan coach Vincenzo Montella is a firm fan of Zielinski and wants to have the Pole at his disposal.
