Spain international Nolito has met with representatives of Manchester City this evening, according to the BBC.

Nolito was linked with the Citizens recently, but denied knowledge of a deal to take him to the Etihad Stadium. The forward has also been linked with another Premier League club in the shape of Tottenham Hotspur, who scouted him at Euro 2016.

But it is Manchester City who are now stepping up on their interest in Nolito following Spain's exit from the European Championship in France.

The forward has a release clause in his contract at Celta Vigo set at the €18m mark and the Spanish side have all but accepted he will leave this summer.

And this evening, Nolito has met with representatives from Manchester City, as a deal moves closer.
