New Celtic signing Moussa Dembele has claimed that he is confident that his new club will make it to the Champions League group stage in the forthcoming season.

Dembele, who has been acquired from Championship club Fulham, has penned a four-year deal at the club and will join the club’s pre-season training camp in Slovenia; Celtic will pay a training fee of £500,000, to be split between Fulham and Paris Saint-Germain.

The 19-year-old, who joined Fulham from French giants PSG, made 46 appearances in all competitions for the Cottagers last season, scoring as many as 17 times.

Dembele, who joined Fulham as a 16-year-old, is confident that his new club will qualify for the group stage of the Champions League next season, despite coming up short in the last two seasons.

He was quoted as saying by STV: "I'm 100% confident.
