Rangers new boy Lee Hodson has expressed his optimism about seeing his club flourish in the Scottish Premiership in spite of the apparent difficult nature of the league.

The 24-year-old secured a move to Ibrox earlier this week, moving from League One side MK Dons on a three-year deal, and feels he has joined a club aiming for the top.

Expressing his excitement about playing for the Gers, the youngster said that it is an opportunity to relish and he cannot wait to be part of the Scottish Premiership with Mark Warburton's team.

As far as the challenges that the newly promoted side are going to face next season are concerned, the former Watford man said that the Light Blues have enough more than capable players to cope with the pressure and will surely do so.

Hodson also has confidence in his manager and is optimistic that Warburton will take the side to a new level next term.

“Obviously, it’s going to be a tough league and it’s going to be difficult", Hodson told his club's official website.

“But I think there have been a lot of players at Rangers already who know what the Premiership is all about and what’s expected.

“I think Mark knows what the Premiership is about as well and, as players, the aims are only going to be high.”
