Vincent Janssen believes that AZ Alkmaar's valuation of him is unrealistic, while he has also admitted that a move to Tottenham Hotspur is his first choice at present.

The striker, who was in red hot form for AZ in last season's Eredivisie, has held talks with Spurs, while French champions Paris Saint-Germain and Bundesliga side Wolfsburg have been linked with him.

Spurs and Wolfsburg have made offers for Janssen, but both have seen their bids rejected by AZ, who value the striker at above €18m.

For the Netherlands international, the asking price on his head is too high and he admits feeling frustrated. He told FOX Sports: "I am sure that AZ are too high up the tree [with the asking price].

"They want more than €18m. AZ do not want to negotiate and want to see what happens", he added.

"AZ rejected the bids [from Spurs and Wolfsburg] and that frustrates me a bit. They are awfully nice clubs", Janssen continued.

"I have communicated my decision to the board. At this time, Tottenham are my first choice.

"I would like to take that step because they are a fantastic club. I think I can develop further."

The ball now appears to be in Spurs and Wolfsburg's court over Janssen however, with AZ determined to extract the highest possible price for a player who netter 32 goals in 49 games last season.

Janssen only signed for AZ last summer, penning a deal running until 2019 with the club.
