New Rangers signing Lee Hodson has insisted that once he was made aware of the opportunity to move to Ibrox there was nothing more to think about.

The Gers completed the signing of the full-back from MK Dons on a three-year deal yesterday and the 24-year-old is delighted to have secured the move.

According to Hodson, the atmosphere on offer at Ibrox is nothing less than electric and he cannot wait for his first opportunity to go out there and play in front of a fully packed stadium.

Having already played at Rangers' famous home ground while he was on loan at Kilmarnock, during the second half of last season, the defender insists that he was already made aware of the atmosphere he was to expect.

However, now that the occasion has finally arrived to make Ibrox his home, the former Watford man is buzzing and insists that playing at the ground is what football is all about.

"I made my debut at Ibrox and it was one of those games where, when I signed for Kilmarnock, I was so excited for", Hodson told his club's official website.

“Lee McCulloch was the manager there at the time when I first went on loan and he was telling us ‘wait until you go to Ibrox, there’s nothing like it’ with the atmosphere and the fans.

“It was one of those moments where you think ‘this is what football is all about’.

"Back then I never thought that I would ever get a chance to play for such a big club and a great club.

“The fanbase it has is amazing and now, when I got the opportunity, there was nothing to think about.

"I had to take it and I’m delighted to be here.”
