Celtic forward Nadir Ciftci has revealed that it has been all good for the squad under their new manager Brendan Rodgers.

The Scottish Premiership holders started off their Slovenia tour with a 2-2 draw against local outfit NK Celje earlier this week, a match in which the striker was able to score.

It was a particularly pleasing result for the visiting side as they came from being 2-0 down to draw the match.

The 24-year-old, who spent the latter half of last season on loan in Turkey and has just returned to Celtic Park, insists that it was particularly pleasing for him, though it could have been even better had they taken their chances to score more.

Speaking abut what he has seen transpire at the club since the arrival of Rodgers, the striker said that the mood has been positive and they have been training hard, which now has to show through in the results.

“It’s been almost two weeks that we’ve been working and it’s been very good with the new manager", Ciftci told his club's official website.

"Everything’s new and it’s been very positive on the training ground and we worked hard in the game as well.

“It’s always good to get a goal but the most important thing is to get the fitness back, to do the right things that the manager asks on the pitch.

"To get a goal was great but we were 2-0 down at the time and it was a really good attitude from the boys to get back to 2-2.”
