Leeds United have been linked with making a move for Spanish forward Samu Saiz, but may well face opposition from Premier League champions Leicester City.

The Whites are looking for options at the top end of the pitch after struggling to score at crucial points last term.

The Championship side in fact ended with a negative goal difference during the 2015/16 domestic season and were one of only two teams in the top 15 to do so.

However, now with the new season looming on the horizon, the Peacocks are looking to start fresh and invest in the attacking department under their new head coach Garry Monk, with Saiz on the list.

According to the Yorkshire Evening Post, Leeds have been linked with a move for Saiz, along with Leicester.

The 25-year-old forward started his career in the youth ranks at Real Madrid before moving on after failing to break through at the Bernabeu.

Saiz scored three goals in the Spanish second division for Huesca last season.

However, if Leeds do move for Saiz, they could face opposition from Leicester, which would leave the Whites facing a battle to grab the Spaniard.
