Former Borussia Dortmund defender Mats Hummels admits that he was always aware that Henrikh Mkhitaryan has been planning to leave the Westfalenstadion this summer.

Italian super agent Mino Raiola’s tug-of-war with Dortmund today ended as the German club announced that Mkhitaryan is set to Manchester United over the weekend.

Dortmund have already lost two big players this summer in the form of Ilkay Gundogan, who joined Manchester City, and Hummels, who moved to German champions Bayern Munich.

The 27-year-old winger is set to become the third big name player to leave the Westfalenstadion during the current transfer window for greener pastures.

And Hummels admits that he was always aware of Mkhitaryan’s intention to leave Dortmund, which he feels has been clear for a while.
