Leeds United are hoping to finalise Casper Sloth's departure on Monday.

The Whites are looking to offload the midfielder and have agreed a deal to sell him to Danish Superliga side AaB.

AaB originally wanted Leeds to write off the final year of Sloth's contract so that he could return to his homeland on a free transfer.

But with the Whites being unwilling to do so, AaB will be paying a small fee for the former AGF star.

According to the Yorkshire Evening Post, Leeds are hoping to push Sloth's deal fully over the line on Monday, ending the Dane's spell at Elland Road.

The move will be a permanent one and close the chapter on a nightmare spell in Yorkshire for the Denmark international.

Sloth signed a three-year deal with Leeds in 2014 and was reported to have cost the English Championship club a fee of around £600,000.

He struggled to nail down a place in the team however and his fortunes did not improve despite Leeds continually chopping and changing head coaches.
