Leeds United are close to offloading midfield flop Casper Sloth, after AaB agreed to pay a nominal fee for the player.

Sloth has just a year left on his contract at Leeds and has struggled to make an impact at Elland Road since moving to the club in the summer of 2014 from Danish side AGF.

AaB want to take Sloth back to his homeland and had been hoping Leeds would agree to terminate his contract early, allowing him to leave on a free transfer.

But according to Danish outlet Bold, Leeds did not agree to do so, meaning AaB have now agreed to pay a small fee for the midfielder.

AaB hope to secure the signature of Sloth next week, ending the midfielder's Leeds nightmare.
