Torino are set to agree a fee with Sunderland for winger Emanuele Giaccherini, it has been claimed.

Giaccherini recently starred at Euro 2016 with Italy and has been tipped to move on from Sunderland this summer; his agent has explained his client is assessing his options.




The Italy star has only a year left on his contract at Sunderland and after falling out of favour at the Stadium of Light spent last season on loan back in his homeland with Bologna.

According to Sky Italia, Torino are set to agree to pay €2m to Sunderland for Giaccherini, putting the ball into the winger's court.
 


The former Juventus winger is also wanted by Bologna, where he impressed last term, and Fiorentina.

His agent also opened the door on a move to Chelsea, which would reunite him with former Italy and Juventus coach Antonio Conte.

However, Torino are ready to put themselves in pole position by thrashing out a fee with Sunderland for Giaccherini, while the player himself has been offered a three-year contract worth €1.3m per year.

The Italian signed a four-year deal with the Black Cats in 2013.
