Crystal Palace and Middlesbrough are mooted to be interested in Fiorentina striker Khouma Babacar, whose agent has arrived in England.

The 23-year-old has regularly been linked with moving to the Premier League over the last 12 months, on the back of his powerful performances for Fiorentina in Serie A.

And this summer could be the time for the Senegalese to make the switch to England's top flight, with his agent appearing to be putting in the legwork to make a move a reality.

According to Italian outlet Tutto Mercato, Babacar's agent, Patrick Bastianelli, is currently in England and Crystal Palace and Middlesbrough are alive to the striker's talents.

It is unclear whether Bastianelli is in the process of putting a deal in place to take his client to England, or is simply testing the water over a potential move.

Fiorentina signed the striker from Pescara in 2008, drafting him into their youth ranks, while he has also had spells away from La Viola at Racing Santander, Padova and Modena.

Last season he made a total of 24 appearances in all competitions for Fiorentina, scoring seven times in the process.

He struck against both Inter and Roma last term, but saw an injury rule him out of his side's run-in.
