West Ham are interested in signing Liverpool striker Christian Benteke this summer and are looking to raise funds by offloading Enner Valencia, according to Sky Italia.

Benteke’s future Liverpool has been under the scanner over the last few months, as he is not believed to be a huge part of Jurgen Klopp’s plans for the club going forward, which was evident from his bit part role in the team towards the end of last season.

Liverpool are asking for a fee of around €35m for the player this summer, and Crystal Palace are reportedly pushing to take the Belgian to Selhurst Park in the coming month or so.

However, Palace could face competition from London rivals West Ham as it has been claimed that the east Londoners are looking to raise funds to make a move for Benteke.

West Ham are in talks with Lazio to sell their Ecuadorian forward Valencia and are ready to accept the Italian club’s initial loan offer of €2m if they insert a €13m mandatory purchase option.
