West Ham have identified Fiorentina striker Khouma Babacar as their back-up option to their priority target Carlo Bacca this summer.

Babacar’s agent arrived in England earlier this week amidst interest from English clubs, and Crystal Palace and Middlesbrough are reportedly interested in signing the forward this summer.

According to Sky Italia, West Ham are also keeping a close watch on the Fiorentina front man, and it has been suggested that the forward is their back-up option to Bacca.

The Hammers have, it is claimed, agreed a fee with AC Milan for the Colombian striker, and are now looking to reach an agreement with his agent over personal terms for the player.

Bacca’s agent is set to arrive in England soon to sit down for talks with West Ham officials over a contract for the player, and the Hammers are hopeful of getting the deal over the line.

However, Slaven Bilic’s side have identified a replacement target for Bacca, and the club could make a move for Fiorentina striker Babacar, should they fail to convince the AC Milan forward to move to the Olympic Stadium.

Babacar clocked up a total of 24 appearances in all competitions for Fiorentina, and netted seven goals for the club.
