Swansea City have confirmed that they snapped up young full-back Tyler Reid from Manchester United for an undisclosed fee.
A product of the Manchester United academy, the 18-year-old was struggling to break into the club’s youth sides and has signed a three-year contract with the Welsh outfit.
Reid will link up with the Swansea’s developmental squad, and is expected to travel for their pre-season tour of Scotland this month.
While he won’t be playing first team football at Swansea straight away, the 18-year-old feels he has a better chance of taking the leap at the Liberty Stadium, and believes their attacking style of football will suit his game.
Reid told the club’s official website: “I am really looking forward to a fresh challenge and getting started.
