West Ham United have been in touch with French side Valenciennes to enquire about highly-rated Belgian winger Isaac Mbenza.

The 20-year-old featured on a regular basis for Valenciennes in Ligue 2 last season, chipping in with seven goals and three assists as his club finished in 12th spot in the French second tier.

Mbenza has caught the eye and with Valenciennes needing to raise money this summer, he is expected to move on.

Belgian giants Standard Liege have already made an approach, but they have now been joined by West Ham.

Indeed, according to French outlet Foot Mercato, the Hammers have made contact with Valenciennes to check on Mbenza's asking price.
