Chelsea could make a bid for Bologna midfielder Amadou Diawara, who is expected to be on the move in the summer transfer window.

Bologna only signed Diawara from lower league outfit San Marino last summer, but he quickly established himself as a regular member of the side and saw his performances draw praise.

Diawara has been angling for a new contract at the club, which has yet to arrive, and as a result he has been keen on leaving.

Roma are chasing the midfielder's signature, but now Chelsea are in the mix and according to Italian daily Tuttosport, are ready to lodge a bid of €20m for the 18-year-old.

If Diawara does leave Bologna he will surely be looking for a big pay rise.
