Manchester City will have to fork out a large fee to snare Bayern Munich target Leroy Sane away from Schalke this summer.

Pep Guardiola is pushing to sign the Germany international from Schalke in the current transfer window, and Manchester City have already agreed personal terms over a proposed move with the player.

Manchester City are said to be preparing a fee of around €43m for the winger, but it seems they may have to add a few more millions to their offer if they want to sign Sane this summer.

According to German daily Bild, the Citizens will have to place a bid of at least €50m on Schalke’s table to reach an agreement with the Bundesliga side for the 20-year-old winger.

Schalke are aware of Manchester City’s interest, but are unwilling to lose a top talent such as Sane without extracting the best fee possible out of the Premier League giants.

Manchester City will also have to take notice of Bayern Munich’s interest in the winger, as the German champions believe Sane is Arjen Robben’s natural successor at the Allianz Arena.

The Bavarians were prepared to wait until the end of next season to move for Sane, but with Manchester City wanting him this summer, Bayern Munich could also look to enter the chase for the German winger.
