Marseille are continuing their charm offensive to convince Tottenham Hotspur forward Clinton Njie to move to the Stade Velodrome this summer, with the French club's president paying the former Lyon man a late night visit.

The Ligue 1 outfit are set to sell winger Georges-Kevin N'Koudou to Tottenham, pocketing €13m from the north London side – but they are desperate for Njie to go the other way.

Spurs have made clear to Njie that he is unlikely to play on a regular basis if he stays at White Hart Lane this season, but the former Lyon man is still eyeing staying and fighting for his place.

Marseille have a battle to convince him, but have not given up yet and president Vincent Labrune headed to speak to Njie earlier this week.

According to French sports daily L'Equipe, Labrune paid Njie a visit on Monday night and discussions with the Tottenham man went on until 3am.

Labrune did his best to convince Njie that a switch to Marseille would be the right move and explained how important he would be for the Stade Velodrome outfit next season.

Marseille are now hoping that Njie changes his mind over staying at Tottenham and agrees to return to France.
