Lyon coach Bruno Genesio believes that Marseille are making a good signing in the shape of Tottenham Hotspur forward Clinton Njie.

The Cameroon international came through the ranks at Lyon and turned out for the club until being sold to Tottenham last summer, having impressed in Ligue 1.

His White Hart Lane adventure is not lasting long though as he is set to move back to France to join Marseille on loan with a view to a permanent switch after an injury-marred single season in England.

Genesio, who was assistant at Lyon before stepping up to take over the coach's job in December 2015, is fan of Njie and thinks Marseille are doing good business signing the 22-year-old.

However, he would rather focus on matters closer to home.

"Clinton is an interesting player, a speedy type", Genesio said on OL TV.

"He can be a good signing for them, but I'd rather take care of Lyon", he added.

It has been claimed Lyon are looking to hijack Njie's move to Marseille, though it remains to be seen if their late entry into the race can take the forward away from the Stade Velodrome.
