Borussia Dortmund coach Thomas Tuchel has stamped on suggestions that defender Matthias Ginter could be heading to Arsenal.

Ginter has been absent from Dortmund's training camp in China with an infection, something which has led to suggestions that the real reason he is not present is because he is set for a move away from the club.

Arsenal have been mooted as a potential destination, but Tuchel is clear that Ginter is going anywhere and any suggestions to the contrary are wide of the mark.

"Everything about Ginter has been said", Tuchel was quoted as saying by ELF Voetbal when asked about the situation.

"German clubs would like to have him, now English clubs want him", he continued.

"I do not know whether it is true [clubs want him] or they are just rumours, but we have made our point.

"Matthias is our player and will remain our player."

Ginter was snapped up by Dortmund from Freiburg in 2014 and was handed a five-year deal in a nod to his potential.

The 22-year-old, who can also operate as a right-back in addition to centre-back, has been capped by Germany at international level and has clocked up nine appearances for Joachim Low's men so far.
