Former Liverpool defender Kolo Toure is undergoing a medical ahead of his proposed move to Celtic.

The 35-year-old defender is a free agent after he was released by Liverpool at the end of last season, and is now set to rejoin his former boss Brendan Rodgers at Celtic Park.




Rodgers talked about signing a few players before next Wednesday's Champions League game against FC Astana, and the Celtic boss has zeroed in on his former Liverpool charge.

The veteran defender arrived in Glasgow in recent hours and according to STV, he is currently undergoing a medical ahead of his switch to the Scottish champions.
 


Once the medical is done, Toure will sign a contract with Celtic, and will be unveiled as a Bhoy in time for the club to register him for next Wednesday's Champions League game.
