Marseille have finally reached an agreement with Swansea City on Bafetimbi Gomis’ loan move to the Stade Velodrome this summer.

The Ligue 1 outfit have been keen to sign the 30-year-old striker, who after a good start to last season faded and become a bit part player at the Liberty Stadium towards the end of the 2015/16 campaign.

Marseille have been in talks with Swansea over a loan move for the player, but were struggling to reach an agreement on who will play the majority of the Frenchman’s wages during his loan stint at the club.

However, it seems a deal has been agreed, and according to L’Equipe, Gomis is set to move to the Stade Velodrome on a loan deal, with no option on making the move permanent at the end of next season.

It has been claimed that Marseille have been agreed to pay 60 per cent of Gomis’ wages during his loan period, and he is expected to be the highest paid player at the Stade Velodrome.
