Toulouse are in pole position to sign Nantes striker Yacine Bammou, despite interest from no fewer than four English Championship clubs in the shape of Aston Villa, Brighton, Leeds United and Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Nantes coach Rene Girard has declared Bammou surplus to requirements at the club after he clocked up a disappointing 2015/16 campaign and the 24-year-old is now considering his future.

He is not short of options as according to French sports daily L'Equipe, Aston Villa, Brighton, Leeds and Wolves are all keen, along with clubs in the Middle East.

But Bammou is more attracted to the idea of moving to Toulouse, where coach Pascal Dupraz is a firm fan of his abilities.

Toulouse could well lose highly rated striker Wissam Ben Yedder this summer and Bammou would be seen as an ideal replacement.
