New Celtic signing Kolo Toure is keen to help the club's younger players to develop and has vowed to pass on advice whenever he gets the chance.

The 35-year-old left Premier League giants Liverpool at the end of last season, but having featured for Jurgen Klopp's men in the Europa League final feels he has more in the tank.

Toure has signed a one-year contract with Celtic and the defender feels he brings experience to the party at Paradise.

The ex-Arsenal man is also looking to make sure he passes on what he has learned through a lengthy career to the hopefuls at Celtic and he vowed to take any opportunity to aid in their career development.

"I will bring experience because I've been in the game for a long time and I want to help the young players to get better", Toure said on Celtic TV.

"It is very, very important for me as well.

"When you get to this kind of age you want to play football, but you also want to be able to help young players to develop.

"Any time I have the chance to help them, to give them some advice to get better in their career, I will be here to do that, definitely", the centre-back added.

Toure was signed for Liverpool by current Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers, who has wasted little time since his appointment in reuniting with the experienced defender.

The Ivorian won the Premier League title during his spells at Arsenal and Manchester City, while he also played in the Champions League final for the Gunners.
