Iceland international full-back Haukur Hauksson claims that Leeds United are in talks with his agent, however he insists he would not be at all disappointed to stay at current club AIK.

Hauksson turned out for Swedish side AIK in the club's Allsvenskan clash against Hammarby on Sunday, scoring a goal as his side coasted to a comfortable 3-0 win.

It could end up being his last match for AIK, if Leeds' interest progresses quickly.

It had been claimed Leeds looked at Hauksson and then abandoned the idea of taking him to Elland Road, but the full-back claims his agent is in talks with the English Championship side.

He would have no problem if it did not work out however as he feels he has not yet done all he can with AIK.

"My agent has told me that we are in contact with Leeds. They are negotiating with AIK right now", Hauksson explained to Swedish daily Aftonbladet.

"They are a big, big club in England with a nice history.

"But I would even be happy if I stay at AIK. I have not shown everything I can here."

Leeds have been searching for a right-back for a number of weeks and have been linked with several potential options including free agent Reece Wabara and Fleetwood Town defender Conor McLaughlin.
