Rangers new boy Josh Windass admits that Mark Warburton’s men are looking to top their League Cup group with a win over Stranraer tonight.

The Scottish giants have broken little sweat thus far in Group A of the competition, and are yet to concede a goal or drop a point in the tournament’s new format.

They will take on Stranraer, who are second in the group, and a win will help Rangers qualify into the next round of the competition; Windass admits that the attitude thus far has been to claim three points in each game.

And their aim will remain the same tonight as Rangers look to win the group and move on to the next round.

The attacking midfielder told the club’s official website: “The intention from the start was to win every game and we are on course to do that now so hopefully we can go back to Ibrox, in front of the fans and win the group.”

The Rangers new boy opened his account for Rangers in their 3-0 win East Stirlingshire last week, and he remains keen to improve on his performances going forward.

“I only got 20 minutes about Motherwell and they have started the past two games but I feel I have done quite well and have a lot more to come.

“I need to keep improving, keep working hard and see where it takes me.”

Windass joined Rangers from Accrington Stanley along with Matt Crooks earlier this summer.
