The agent of Chelsea and Everton target Kalidou Koulibaly has revealed that his client still has plans to leave Napoli this summer.

The 25-year-old defender’s future at the San Paolo has been under the scanner for a while now, but Napoli remain keen to hold on to him, and have been willing to offer him an improved contract.

However, the Italian giants are yet to reach an agreement with his representatives, and from the words of his agent, Bruno Satin, it seems unlikely Koulibaly will wear the Napoli colours next season.

He insisted that despite recent talk of Koulibaly signing a new contract with Napoli, his client remains keen to leave, and insisted that the Serie A giants’ offer is not matching their words at the moment.

The defender’s agent told Italian radio station Radio CRC: “Last Saturday I was in Dimaro [Napoli’s training base], we took stock of the situation and I am not aware that we are at the point of agreement.

“Perhaps the leaders understood that, but the desire of the player is still to leave, not to renew, also because the signals from the club are not a motivation for the player.

“They say he is a great player, but their offer doesn’t reflect that. Last year they want to send him away, saying that he is not focused, but last season he showed all of his qualities.”

Chelsea and Everton are claimed to have slapped in big money bids for Koulibaly this summer, and his agent indicated that the English duo are still interested in his client.

“Chelsea and Everton are still interested, as they are looking for a central defender.”
