New Paris Saint-Germain coach Unai Emery has indicated that Manchester United and Juventus target Blaise Matuidi could leave the French champions this summer.

The 29-year-old midfielder’s future at PSG has been under the scanner for a while with speculation suggesting that Manchester United and Chelsea are interested in snapping him up.

However, Manchester United are now working on deal to sign Paul Pogba from Juventus, and the Italian champions are reportedly considering making a move for the PSG man as a replacement for his France team-mate.

And Emery admits that given the amount of options he has in the middle of the park, Matuidi could leave the Parc des Princes during the summer transfer window.

However, Emery added that he is not keen to see the Frenchman leave PSG in the coming days.

When asked about Matuidi, the PSG boss told L’Equipe: “He is a very good player.

“We have so many left sided defensive midfielders; if he has an opportunity to leave and if he finds there are too many people in the middle, [then he could go].

“But I don’t want him to go.”

Matuidi joined PSG from Saint-Etienne in 2011, and has clocked up 240 appearances for the club in all competitions.
