Rangers manager Mark Warburton admits that he will have to rotate his squad a lot more next season compared to their last campaign.

The Rangers boss has signed nine new players this summer to add strength and depth to his squad, and is expected to be in the market for one or two more fresh new faces.

With a little less than two weeks left before the Premiership season, Warburton believes that having a good squad is as important as having a quality first eleven because of the nature of the game at the top level.

He admits that he will have to rotate and tinker with his squad a lot more next season and has stressed the importance of having each player fit and ready to step in whenever required.

Warburton told the club’s official website “We have to have a squad where everyone is ready, everyone understands their role and how we play and they can step straight in.

“We are going to have to use that squad this season and rotate a lot more than last year but it is about us together and not about any one individual player.

“If we can get the squad in the right shape then they understand what we have to do then we’ll have a good season.”

Rangers picked up another win last night ahead of the Premiership campaign when they scored a comfortable 3-0 victory over Stranraer FC in a Scottish League Cup game at Ibrox.
