Vincent Janssen feels honoured after making his Tottenham Hotspur debut against Juventus today, in a friendly game Spurs were edged out in 2-1 in Australia.

The striker cost Spurs €20m to sign from Dutch Eredivisie outfit AZ Alkmaar and is expected to be a vital source of goals for the club in the forthcoming campaign.

He has been getting to know his team-mates in Australia and featured against Juventus, sporting the club's eye-catching gold shirt, a game in which Erk Lamela scored for Spurs.

And Janssen was happy to be out on the pitch in a white shirt.

"It was a real privilege to play my first Tottenham Hotspur game in public", he explained to Spurs TV.
