Leeds United are looking to snap up Doncaster Rovers midfielder Billy Whitehouse.

While the Whites are shopping to improve their first team squad this summer, they are also aiming to bolster their options at Under-21 level, with squad depth a concern.

And as such, 20-year-old Whitehouse is a target, according to the Yorkshire Evening Post.

The midfielder came through the youth ranks at Doncaster and made his debut in 2014 in a win away at Burton Albion.

The youngster has spent time away from Doncaster, enjoying a stint with minnows Halifax Town on loan.

Now Whitehouse could make a switch away from Doncaster to link up with Championship side Leeds, though he would only be signed to supplement the club's options at Under-21 level.

Whitehouse would however be able to look to push on with his development and impress head coach Garry Monk, who has vowed to give young players at chance to shine in the first team at Elland Road.
