Tottenham Hotspur striker Clinton Njie is yet to leave north London for France in order to complete his loan move to Marseille.

The Cameroonian has not travelled with the rest of the Spurs squad for their pre-season tour of Australia, and while Mauricio Pochettino has cited injury as the reason, he is widely believed that he is on his way to Marseille this summer.

Marseille have managed to convince Njie to move back to France in the current transfer window, and have also reached an agreement with Tottenham over an initial loan move with an automatic option to make it permanent.

The 22-year-old was expected to fly to France to undergo his medical with the club in the last few days, but according to French sports daily L’Equipe, he is still in London.

It has been claimed that Njie is yet to complete all the travel arrangements necessary for his return to France, and is waiting for a few things to fall into place before he finally leaves the English capital.

Despite the delay, Marseille are confident of getting the deal over the line soon, and unveiling the former Lyon man as their new signing in the coming days.

The forward struggled with injuries and form last season at Tottenham, and will be hoping to turn a corner once he returns to France with Marseille this summer.
