Nice are considering making a move for Aston Villa forward Jordan Ayew, but the Ghanaian prefers a move to a Premier League club.

Ayew was part of Aston Villa’s heavy recruitment drive last summer, but it wasn’t enough from stopping them from finishing at the bottom of the Premier League table.

Under new manager Roberto Di Matteo, Villa are preparing for life in the Championship and are keen to hold on to their best players in order to earn promotion next season.

However, a number of players are looking for greener pastures, and it has been claimed that Ayew is one of those who are keen to leave Villa Park this summer.

And according to L’Equipe, Nice are interested in signing the former Lorient forward and are considering making a play for him in the next month or so.
